The mission of the Reading Public Museum, a dynamic center of lifelong learning and discovery, is to educate, enlighten and engage current and future generations through the collection, preservation, and interpretation of objects of art, science and culture.
The Museum is open every day except Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Years Day.
Guided tours for preschool, K-12, college, extracurricular groups, adults, seniors, and special-needs groups are available all year long. We can arrange a customized visit that your group will never forget!
Birthday Parties: Designed for children ages 6-12.
Please note: We cannot book birthday parties for the next month after the 15th day of the current month.
(Example: April Birthday parties must be booked by March 15.)
